I’m a Staff Engineer and engineering leader with 10+ years of experience shipping production-grade systems that thrive under real-world demands.

My career spans autonomous vehicles, augmented reality, and construction tech, with leadership roles at Wayve, IKEA, Capmo, and Geomagical Labs. I work across the full stack: native mobile, platform, backend, DevOps, computer vision, and real-time systems, my focus being on building systems that last.

Engineering philosophy Link to heading

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. That’s the core of how I work. Rushing creates rework, rework creates debt, debt creates chaos. Do it right the first time and you move faster in the long run.

I design for resilience from the start:

  • Treating failure as inevitable
  • Ensuring work can recover safely
  • Eliminating single points of failure

Automation, observability, and clean boundaries are non-negotiables for me, not afterthoughts. I favor simplicity, maintainability, and incremental decision-making while avoiding unnecessary complexity and keeping systems robust as they scale.

I have little patience for dogma dressed up as discipline. Pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions over premature abstractions or over-engineering.

Expertise & impact Link to heading

My work spans distributed systems, modular applications, and scalable data pipelines, with a track record of simplifying complexity and delivering reliable solutions.

I’m a published engineer (ISMAR) and patent holder in virtual modeling, and I care more about mentoring teams to build strong foundations than being the hero who rewrites everything.

Management Link to heading

I learned management in the trenches, not from a playbook. A few convictions I keep coming back to:

Kill your heroes. A team that depends on one indispensable person is fragile. Spread knowledge, share ownership, and remove single points of failure, in people as much as in systems.

Communication is 90% of the work. The hard part is rarely the code. It’s alignment, clarity, and trust.

Hire for high agency. Give capable people context and autonomy, then get out of their way.

Conway’s Law is real. Systems mirror the teams that build them, shaping team boundaries is itself an architectural decision.

Choose boring technology. Proven tools and clear thinking beat novelty and cargo-culting.

Substance over theater. I have little patience for those who consistently over-promise and under-deliver.
